The FINANCIAL -- Dell and Vordel, the XML Network management company, announced on December 18 that the Vordel XML/SOA appliances will be assembled by the Dell Industrial Solutions Group in their manufacturing facilities.

Vordel will leverage Dell’s global manufacturing and world class support infrastructure for maximum effect to speed deployment and minimize Total Cost of Ownership for its customers.

According to Dell, the Vordel VX platform is the solution for customers with demanding XML processing requirements. VX is a turn-key deployment option for both the Vordel XML Gateway and Vordel XML Firewall. The VX consists of Vordel's patented XML acceleration and parallelization technology engine, VXA, on a hardened pre-integrated Dell server line. As well as XML Acceleration, the VX platform also features Web-based and command-line administration, cryptographic acceleration, and a RAID disk array.
